A FEW years ago Arts Alive scored a big hit with Catalan company Laitrum and their innovative show Capses. Since thenSian Kerry, Arts Alive director, has been trying to set up a local version of the show. Now funding has been secured for Hereford-based company The Fetch to develop Clapper Box, an intriguing, fun interactive street puppet booth experience…with popcorn!
Clapper Box engages the public as both puppeteers and audience. Through headphones, the puppeteer receives directions and the audience hears the story – but will they each be able to work out what’s going on?
Look out for Clapper Box at Aymestrey Fête, on Saturday, at Brampton Bryan's ‘Scarecrows on the Move’ on Sunday, August 2, CLifford Community Hall on September 13 and Bishops Castle Michaelmas Fair on September 19.
