LITTLE Monsters Film Club kicks off this weekend with the first event at Rockspring Community Centre.

The season, a partnership with Ludlow Assembly Rooms and generously funded by the British Film Institute’s Film Hub NW, will bring great children’s cinema to Ludlow, with each event paired with a fun, free workshop that will help bring the film to life.

Last month, a panel of children at Rockspring Community Centre voted from a shortlist for the films they would most like to see. For the first event on Saturday they chose Fairy Tale: A True Story (U), a magical film that follows the adventures of two young girls who take a photograph of a real fairy in a forest!

Children also have the option of booking into the free pre-film workshop at 1pm, which will be hosted by Whack-It-Smack-It, the perfect opportunity to create musical instruments out of recycled materials and make some noise!

The next event will also be held at the Rockspring Community Centre on Saturday, December 13, with a Christmas crafts workshop with Scrappies, and the film screening of Arthur Christmas (U).

Fairy Tale: A True Story is at Rockspring Community Centre on Saturday at 3pm.
