THERE'S the chance put on your dancing shoes with the arrival of The Cajun Roosters who will bring some of the hottest Cajun music fresh from Southern Louisiana to the Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

The award-winning outfit from Germany promise a frenetic night of foot-stomping melodies on Saturday August 16.

Their repertoire embraces a huge selection of genres including: Swamp Blues, Louisiana Rock ‘n’ Roll, Creole, Zydeco and New Orleans beats.

If it’s your first deep south experience, there is also fantastic opportunity to learn some basic dance techniques by expert Cajun Jitterbug dancers, Angie and Graham Breakwell, in a free workshop that will be held just before the main event.

No partner is needed for this event, just a willingness to hit the dancefloor!

Ludlow Assembly Rooms spokeswoman Selina Cross says “Sometimes we all need to get up and have a good boogie, whether it’s to improve our fitness, catch up with friends or just let off some steam. The Cajun Roosters is a brilliant opportunity to do all of those things and more with the accompaniment of some fantastic music!”

Tickets are £10/£8 concessions or £34 for a family. The music starts at 8pm.

The free Cajun dancing workshop is at 6.45pm.
