STOMP n Holler will be bringing the distinctive sounds of New Orleans to Tenbury's Regal cinema on Saturday, March 1 as part of their spring tour of the UK.

A big, bold festival favourite blues band with a brass section and six singers, the band is led by Oliver Carpenter and Abby Brant.

Featuring four British Blues Award nominees, Stomp n Holler pulls together the best Midlands musicians to explode on stage with brass, blues, and a vast array of voices, creating a muscular sound reminiscent of the floor filling music of New Orleans, driven by skin-tight rhythm section Chris Lomas and Martin Ball and featuring Abby’s excellent piano playing and Dave Carroll's exceptional guitar. Topped off with Oliver’s forceful stage personality and top sax player John Sanderson, Stomp & Holler is bold, brassy and fills the stage with colour.

From the first growl to the last chord they'll have you stomping and hollering for more as they move from groove to groove and beat to beat, taking you on a musical journey around the swamps, bayous and dancefloors of the blues.

“The musicianship is unsurpassable, and the songwriting is excellent.” Blues in Britain magazine.

Stomp n Holler are at The Regal, Tenbury Wells on Saturday, March 1 at 7.30pm.

Tickets available from the Regal at Tenbury Box Office, online at regaltenbury.co.uk or by calling 01584 811442.
