ARTS Alive is delighted to present Twelve Miles from Nowhere, a new show from Karen Simpson Productions.
“My dad had this farm, passed down from his dad, and it’ll stay in this family.
No way they’re getting their greasy hands on it.”
Since Michael and Emily’s mother left, time has stood still for them.
Their father James is struggling and can’t see a way forward. The farm is in a bad way and going under…Then Craig ar rives with enough charisma, charm and ambition to bring the birds from the trees. But is he really the answer to their dreams?
Twelve Miles from Nowhere is a play about life on the edge, set against a g ritty rural backdrop, and with surefire appeal to teenagers and adults.
Sian Kerry, Arts Alive director, quotes a report from the scheme manager at Cheshire Rural Touring: “I haven’t programmed a piece of theatre for a long time that has had the impact of 12 Miles.
“It’s gripping drama, funny, moving and shocking; my promoters were thrilled.”
Twelve Miles from Nowhere can be seen at Pentabus Theatre, Bromfield, near Ludlow, at 7.30pm, tomorrow, October 18. To book, call 01584 856564, or online at artsalive.co.uk.
