3:58pm Friday 4th April 2008

TWO Herefordshire businesses have been rewarded for the way they welcome tourists to the county.

Woodredding Farm Cottages, near Ross-on-Wye, and Walnut Tree Cottage, near Leominster, were both recognised for their customer service skills at the Quality at Heart awards.

Walnut Tree Cottage proprietor Elaine Witcome received a silver servicemark award for her thoughtful attention to detail and her children's package for families with babies or toddlers.

Brian and Fran Robbins, who run Woodredding Farm Cottages, picked up a bronze award for their relaxed and flexible approach in helping visitors make the most of their stay.

Quality at Heart is funded by Advantage West Midlands and was set up in 2003 to honour outstanding customer service in the Midlands.
