THE Masons is a fine grade II listed house which was completely refurbished and extended around 2004.

Its historical background figures the house in its earliest days as a Cider house for Kinnersley Castle.

The property is approached through a five bar gate off a quiet lane and on to a circular drive edged with box hedging and deep borders. Stone steps lead down to the oak front door into the large reception Hall with its flagstone floor and cloakroom off with fitted cupboards and separate WC.

The drawing room has one oak panelled wall and the fireplace has a raised wood burning stove with the oak staircase also within this room. The study has fitted bookshelves along one wall. The dining room also has a flagstone floor and a fireplace. The open plan kitchen extends into the conservatory, which has under floor heating and double doors to the terrace.

Extensively fitted, the kitchen has fitted floor units providing ample work top surfaces which incorporate a fitted sink, dishwasher, fridge freezer, Rangemaster with gas hobs and two electric ovens, as well as an oil fired Rayburn. The utility room has a fitted sink, back door and separate WC.

On the first floor the landing has fitted cupboards along one wall and an airing cupboard. Two bedrooms each have en suite shower rooms. One bedroom with its oak flooring and evidence of a former fireplace is currently used as a sitting/reading room. This bedroom and two others, share the family bathroom.

The cottage and flat each have their own separate entrances. The cottage has a useful store room beside its lobbied entrance which leads into a large south facing living room with French doors out onto a terrace and loggia. Off the kitchen is the shower/wet room and the bedroom with fitted cupboards, airing cupboard and a glazed door to the garden. A useful connecting door now leads into the hall and study/storeroom of the flat with stairs up to a landing with fitted cupboards, large sitting room, kitchen and large bedroom with an en suite bathroom.

The double garage has a stone floor and panelled walls and would easily be modified to provide additional accommodation.

The house stands at the northern end of its grounds looking south over its private gardens, orchard and paddock. In one corner of the garden is a vegetable garden and the pretty wildlife pond is central to the garden on the south side. The old orchard is to the south and the paddock on the side has a gated entrance on to the lane.
