INNOVATIVE developers are being sought for a £multi-million residential scheme at Leys Hill near Ross-on-Wye.

The former spa site has full planning permission for five Grand Design style homes and is being marketed by Bruton Knowles.

William Matthews from the firm's Gloucester office described it as a unique situation and one of the most outstanding development opportunities in the Three Counties area.

"The five highly contemporary homes planned here are five times the size of a normal house and offer approximately five and half thousand sq ft of space each of which is on a three quarter of an acre plot overlooking the River Wye.

"It's difficult to think of a residential opportunity in this class anywhere in the region and we are expecting good interest from boutique developers."

Leys Hill is some four miles south of Ross-on-Wye and boasts a gastro public house, primary school, church and village hall. It is also conveniently situated for the M50 and M4 network.

The site falls within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has good transport links to the A40.

Will Matthews went on: "The site is a former spa and the planning consent includes demolition of the existing facilities and replacement with five strikingly contemporary homes with garaging.

"Monmouth estate agents Roscoe Rogers and Knight have advised the properties could each be marketed between £1.3 and £1.5m once they are completed."

The development opportunity is offered for sale by informal tenders with offers for the entire site to be received by Bruton Knowles prior to noon on Thursday, September 28.

Tenders should be submitted to harry.breakwell@brutonknowles.com
