Dating - Success - Ludlow Advertiser

Dear Two's Company,
I would like to tell you the story of how I met Rachel. I had placed an advert in Two's Company and had had limited success at finding and meeting the right person and after a few dates of not finding the "one" I was thinking that this was not for me, however, I looked through the adverts and replied to a few, leaving a few messages. Within 30 min's I got a text reply from Rachel, I was shocked at the speed she had replied to me, (and was also thinking something has got to be wrong with this girl), but in the end I text back.

We sent a few text's back and forth and then talked on the phone, things seemed to be ok and we arranged a date, but first we sent each other a photo by email to see what we looked like, her green eyes just jumped out at me and I knew I had to meet her. The first date went OK but she did make me a bit nervous by saying I should treat this date like an interview (I must have passed) We then went on a few more dates and things got better and better, six months later she moved in with me and things have got better and better ever since. After a while I finally plucked up the courage to ask her to marry me and she said yes, we had the official engagement party on her birthday.. As we approach our first anniversary I couldn't be happier, and if it hadn't have been for Two's Company we would never have met.

Hello, I had been widowed for several years, when I decided to have a look through the Two’s Company column. I saw an ad and thought to myself, Ok here is a man, the same age as me, and had been through a similar experience to me, so I put pen to paper and wrote to him. He wrote back and a couple of weeks later we met. We have now been married! I think we deserve some champagne!

Dear Two's Company,
I had never looked before but at the age of 46 was wondering where one goes to meet someone who does not want to be in pubs or nightclubs! One advert caught my eye as it began 'I am sailing'. I love anything to do with water and as it was late at night with no one around I decided there could be no harm in texting. Xavier responded the next day and we continued to text for a couple of days and eventually I plucked up the courage to ask him for a drink. The initial meeting something connected and that initial eye contact was the foundation of our relationship.

I would never have chosen Xavier as a partner had I met him across a room or in a public place as I have always been drawn to men who have been quite domineering. It is a relief to be with someone so kind and gentle and I realised what I have missed all these years. We now live together and are planning a future to work together. My daughters and family think he is great and good for me.

I was feeling fed up and a bit lonely and after looking through the paper I read through the dating page. This made me think 'why not give it a try', so I rang the number and had to leave a short message for anyone that might be interested. A couple of weeks later I was watching Saturday night telly and I thought I would check my messages and there was one. So I rang the number and we chatted and arranged to meet up in town for a drink. This went really well, so we then began dating………… Now nearly four and a half years later we are buying a house together and are busy planning our wedding which happened in June of this year!!! I thank you for this and hope you have enjoyed reading our success story of making two people so very happy in finding their partners/soulmates/best friends and all the other things that count!
