ŠKODA has revealed UK price and specification details for its updated Superb flagship model.

Having undergone a comprehensive facelift, both hatch and estate versions offer a fresh and attractive design, an upgraded interior and significantly improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

On sale in the UK from July 17, prices for the facelifted Superb range start at just £18,555 (on the road) for the 1.4-litre TSI 125PS S hatch. The top-ofthe- range Laurin and Klement estate model costs £32,455 (OTR) when paired with the 2.0 TDI CR 170PS DFP engine, 4x4 and sixspeed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). Diesel versions start from £19,760 (OTR). The premium for the estate over its hatch sibling is £1,125.

The Superb facelift will be available in the UK with six advanced engine options: three petrol and three diesel. Power outputs range from 105PS (1.6 TDI CR) to 260PS for the 3.6 V6 model.

Engines are up to 19 per cent more economical than the previous generation units, and a fuel-efficient GreenLine version offers emissions of only 109g/km.

The fleet sector will make a significant contribution to Superb sales, and with Benefit in Kind values starting at just 16 per cent, and more rear legroom than most prestige cars, the Superb’s appeal is obvious.

Alasdair Stewart, brand director for ŠKODA UK, commented: “The Superb continues ŠKODA’s tradition of offering a huge amount of space, engineering excellence and great value for money.

“Since its launch 12 years ago, the Superb has been lauded for its versatility, comfort and equipment.

“This comprehensive facelift builds on these and we are confident that the excellent improvements to fuel consumption and CO2 will appeal to both fleet and private customers.”
