Ready for the mega sale

BOOK lovers always look forward to the two-day Mega Book Sale that raises cash for Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

You can put the dates - the weekend of February 11 to 12 - in your diary now. Peter Corston, who organises the book collecting on behalf of the Friends of the Assembly Rooms, already has 20 boxes of books that will be looking for a new life on another owner's shelves. More are welcome.

The Friends are also looking for volunteers to help sort the books into categories on the day before. Most go for 50p each although anything extra special is priced accordingly.

Last year's sale raised more than £2,000. If you want to donate some books to help beat that figure, you can either contact Peter Corston on 01584 873778 or take them to the Assembly Rooms.
