GRANT FOR BARN KITCHEN: The Save the Church Barn Fund committee has received a grant of £500 from the Community Council of Shropshire. The money will go towards upgrading the kitchen in the barn, which has been a popular venue for events during the winter. Committee member Dr St John Penney said: "The kitchen and toilets are the most urgent needs for the renovation programme, alongside the provision of disabled access and disabled toilets. If the committee can raise the required finance there will be new heating and lighting, together with a demountable stage. How much of this we can do depends on having the funding in place before the end of April." read more
