THE South Shropshire Gardening Group has held its biggest day of the year with its annual show at Lydbury North Village Hall.

Months of hard work were put to the test and gardeners vied to lay claim to the biggest and best.

Gardening is a great leveller but one of the most important ingredients, the weather, is out of the control of the grower but at least this is broadly the same for everyone.

The general view was of a good season with some great blooms.
