THE annual Mayor's Sunday Service has been held at Laurence’s Church.
The traditional service celebrated the beginning of the mayoral year for new mayor Paul Draper and mayoress Lesley Draper with pledges from the council to serve the town and reciprocal support voiced from the community.
It was led by The Venerable Colin Williams, team rector of Ludlow, and the Choir of St Laurence’s Church was conducted by Shaun Ward, organist and musical director.
Ludlow Town Band performed marching music for the parade and also a selection of favourites for those gathered by the Buttercross.
Parade marshall David Davies led a parade of local uniformed organisations through the town before the mayor was escorted by the mace bearer, Don Meredith.
