REG Portman knows every church in south Shropshire.
The artist who works in ink has painted every church in the whole of the county.
Sketches depict buildings from the magnificent St Laurence's Church in Ludlow to the most humble village church.
It is a project that has taken Reg 10 years.
“I do not work from photographs and will always visit the church,” said Reg.
“It has to be sunshine so I can capture the shadows so I only work in the summer.”
He can also frame the drawings and they have been exhibited in Hereford Cathedral and at various places around the county.
But the job is not finished and Reg is now starting on the churches in Herefordshire in order to have covered the whole diocese.
