ORGANISERS of Folk Down The Track are calling for more musicians to join them on summer evening train rides from Ludlow and Craven Arms to Knucklas.
The bi-monthly event encourages people to join the 6pm departure from Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line until everyone piles off at Knucklas for a folk music session at the Castle Inn, Knucklas, five minutes walk from the station.
Folk Down the Track is about getting local folk musicians together to enjoy a blend of borderland music for about two hours or so; there's also food and drink to be had,” said Graham Lambert.
“Sometimes singers or musicians come back on the train with us and that makes all the difference. We'd love to see more.”
The next Folk Down The Track event is tonight (Thursday April 17). People from Ludlow can join by catching the 6.17pm train from Ludlow or Craven Arms.
